Abbey is originally from the mainland and moved to Vancouver Island in 2023, where she began her recovery journey. Since then, she has built close and meaningful connections within her recovery community, many of whom are now part of the Cedars team. After graduating from university with her Community Mental Health Worker (CMHW) training, Abbey began her career as a Community Support Worker and, after gaining experience in the field, felt drawn to continue her journey at Cedars alongside the friends and community who have become such an important part of her life.

For Abbey, connection and relationships are at the heart of what matters most. She considers her friends to be family and her family to be friends, and she loves spending as much time as possible with the people she cares about.
