Alyona is a grateful person in recovery, as well as a student at VIU in her fourth year taking a major in Indigenous/Xwulmuxw Studies and minor in Journalism. She is passionate about serving her community and often volunteers for local Indigenous-led initiatives. Her hobbies include practicing traditional Ukrainian arts and crafts, writing poetry, and connecting with the land.
