Juanita Fleming

Outpatient Trauma and Family Counsellor

With over 30 years of experience in mental health and addictions, Juanita specializes in supporting individuals and families through recovery in inpatient and continuing care settings. Her practice is rooted in trauma-informed, evidence-based care that extends beyond the individual - supporting families in healing and helping clinical teams thrive. Holding a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and dual certifications as an RCC and CCC, she has led multidisciplinary teams, developed inpatient programs, and mentored clinicians in delivering consistent, compassionate care. Juanita is passionate about building strong therapeutic teams that feel supported, skilled, and aligned in purpose - because sustainable recovery depends on both client care and team cohesion.

As a member of the LGBTQ2S+ community, she brings a deep commitment to inclusive, affirming care for all clients. Juanita works with individuals, couples, and families impacted by trauma, substance use, and mental health challenges. Helping them reconnect with their strengths, rebuild relationships, and move forward with clarity and support. Whether she is facilitating therapy, mentoring others, or designing family programs, her goal is always the same: to foster healing environments where people feel safe, understood, and empowered to change.
