Kayla James

Community Support Worker

Kayla was born and raised on Vancouver Island and has always had an interest in mental health and supporting the well-being of others. After working in different industries, she decided it was time for a career change and returned to school to study Community Mental Health.

When Kayla was introduced to Cedars she was drawn to the opportunity to work in an environment where she could support people as they navigate their recovery journeys. She feels fortunate to be part of a team that helps people find hope, support, and the tools they need to move forward.

Outside of work, Kayla enjoys spending quality time with her family, which is one of the things she values most.
