Kory Meelker
Community Support Worker
Kory was born and raised on Vancouver Island and spent much of his career working in construction, including several years in leadership roles as a foreman and superintendent.
Kory’s own journey with addiction and recovery eventually brought him to Cedars, where he experienced firsthand the impact that connection, community, and compassionate support can have in a person’s recovery. That experience inspired him to pursue a career in the field and ultimately brought him back to Cedars as a Community Support Worker, where he hopes to support others as they begin building lives in recovery.
Outside of work, Kory enjoys spending time with his daughter, staying active through cycling and hockey, getting outdoors, and working on building and carpentry projects. He especially enjoys camping and is looking forward to tackling some longer canoe and backcountry trips.
