Born and raised in Chemainus, BC, Suz has always appreciated the sense of community that comes with small-town living. She and her husband raised their two daughters on Vancouver Island while building a life rooted in family and community. Over the years, she has enjoyed a variety of careers, including 15 years as a nail technician and owning a local antique store.

Her journey into recovery work was inspired by both personal and family experiences with addiction. Choosing to attend treatment at Cedars was a life-changing decision, and today she is grateful for the opportunity to support others as they begin their own recovery journeys.

What Suz enjoys most about working at Cedars is connecting with patients, hearing their stories, and walking alongside them as they take meaningful steps toward healthier, more fulfilling lives. She considers it a privilege to be part of such an important chapter in each person's journey.

Outside of work, she is a self-described hippie at heart. Suz enjoys growing flowers and food for her family, exploring the hidden gems of Vancouver Island and the surrounding Gulf Islands, and spending quality time with the people she loves most.
