Vanessa is from Ahousaht First Nation and is of Mi'kmaq and mixed European descent. She was born and raised in Matuuni (Victoria) and values the connections she has to her family, culture, and community. As a proud mother of three children -Cylus, Nina, and Kaia - family is an important part of her life and a source of inspiration in all that she does.
